Dubai Event Week 22–30 September 2026: Driving and Parking Guide for DWTC
Several major exhibitions and conferences overlap around Dubai World Trade Centre between 22 and 30 September. For a business visitor, transport mode, parking choice and arrival timing can save more time than upgrading the vehicle category.
Why is this week different around DWTC?
Dubai World Trade Centre’s current calendar shows several overlapping events: Seamless Middle East from 22–24 September, Forex Expo on 22–23 September, MEIDAM from 24–26 September, Ru'ya Careers UAE from 28–30 September, GOTECH from 29 September–1 October, and AWS Summit Dubai on 30 September. The overlap can make arrival and departure periods busier than a normal business day.
If you drive, what should you know about parking?
DWTC’s official getting-here page states that the site has six paid car parks, two free car parks and valet parking, with 7,530 spaces in total. It also lists EV bays and charging. That is substantial capacity, but it does not guarantee a space next to your preferred entrance at peak time, so arrive early and check your hall entrance before leaving.
When does a rental car make sense?
- Multiple meetings: when your day starts at DWTC and continues in DIFC, Downtown Dubai or Dubai Marina.
- A team or equipment: when you are carrying samples, devices or several bags.
- A hotel away from a convenient metro link: when transfers would add too much time.
- A trip that continues after the exhibition: if you plan to visit other parts of Dubai or the UAE.
When can metro or taxi be simpler?
If your hotel is near a metro station and your programme is entirely inside DWTC, metro or taxi can be simpler than looking for parking during mass arrival periods. You do not need one transport mode for every day: drive on an off-site meeting day and use public transport on an exhibition-only day.
A practical arrival plan
- Confirm your hall and entrance before departure.
- Check event updates that morning.
- Build extra time before your first appointment.
- If renting, review Salik, fuel or charging policy and parking costs.
- Keep a backup option if nearby parking is full.
